The guesthouse at the beautiful Peter Michael Winery in Knights Valley awaits, you’ll spend two incredible nights of sheer respite in Sonoma County wine country. You will be treated to a private vineyard tour on the 630-acre estate – from the volcanic ridges on the western face of Mount St. Helena to the Knights Valley floor – followed by a private tasting of terroir-driven wines paired with lunch by Winery Chef Jacob Kossman.

For your UK adventure … the Michaels invite you to experience The Vineyard, nestled in the Newbury, Berkshire region of England. Your party of four will be guests of the Michael family at their five-star Relais & Chateaux hotel, restaurant and spa.

Spend two nights in one of the property’s elegantly furnished rooms. Each morning, the hotel’s talented chefs using the finest local ingredients prepare breakfast. Your first evening’s dinner will be prepared by Tom Scade, the property’s Executive Chef. For your final evening, you will enjoy a seven-course Judgment of Paris tasting menu. This meal celebrates the momentous occasion of the 1976 “Judgment of Paris” tasting at which an all-French panel of experts blind tasted the best California wines alongside the finest wines Burgundy and Bordeaux had to offer. Despite their convictions and devotion to French wines, the judges miraculously found the American wines superior! So that you can judge for yourself, the hotel’s sommeliers will pair a glass of French and a glass of Californian wine to each course – let the judging commence!

Your trip will also include a restorative fifty-five minute treatment for each guest at The Vineyard Spa; choose a dip in the pool, a spa bath, a relaxing steam or sauna or time to enjoy a good book in blissful comfort.

Named for the wild poppies that flourish on the estate, this is the wine Sir Peter envisioned when he purchased the Knights Valley property – a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot crafted to express the full spectrum of red Bordeaux varietals.
